AdInsight Launches WebRoute

AdInsight Limited launched their AdInsight call tracking solution last year, providing businesses with a reliable means of tracking the success of their online and offline advertising campaigns.

Now, in a major upgrade, AdInsight has developed a new web based rule system, which will help businesses optimise their online advertising spend by pinpointing how a customer who phoned them, initially found the company online.

Ross Fobian, Co-director at AdInsight, explained: “There are endless ways a customer could find a website, from typing keywords into a search engines to PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising to an advert on another website or even in a newspaper.

“With the upgraded AdInsight tracking system, companies now have the technology to track data on customer calls, including whether those calls resulted in a sale and how those new customers found out about the company online.

“The overall result is that companies using AdInsight know exactly which advertising, whether it is offline or online, is driving telephone sales and which is not,” stated Ross.

The new rule system, which has been branded Web Route, will be offered as part of the current AdInsight system and enables companies to monitor calls and sales generated from any online traffic source.

It can track direct traffic, organic search, PPC traffic, domain referrals and AdInsight’s clients can also use existing or new URL tagging techniques to monitor any other traffic sources, including banner advertising, emails and affiliate traffic, etc.

In addition Web Route offers a rule builder which allows businesses to create any combination of rules they wish to track, for example monitoring a set of keywords on a specific search engine like Google using an exact or broad match function, or tracking various PPC traffic from various campaigns individually.

Common rules have been pre-programmed so that less experienced users can quickly and easily create complex rules, like tracking all PPC traffic from Google Adwords.

Web Route works by generating a snippet of code which is placed in the client company’s website, allowing the website to communicate with the AdInsight system. Telephone numbers displayed on the website are automatically changed based on the defined rules, allowing each traffic source to be uniquely tracked.

Web Route was elegantly designed to make the entire setup as easy to use as possible. A client only ever has to add the provided code to their website once. Then they simply use the AdInsight web interface to add, remove and edit existing telephone numbers and rules.

“Essentially Web Route has made AdInsight more powerful by providing a much wider scope for companies to monitor the effectiveness of their online marketing campaigns” Ross continued.

“AdInsight shows which marketing initiatives are giving the best return on investment and, with the UK currently in a recession, ensuring your business is investing in advertising that works couldn’t be more critical,” he concluded.
