As a Java Developer at AdInsight, you will be working in a small team of talented developers and product managers who have a good feeling for what customers want. You will be involved in and help drive development, technical discussions, innovative ideas and make calls on what is or isn’t feasible. You will need to be a well-rounded individual and have the ability to continuously learn and apply new things.
Responsibilities
- Engage with other developers, product managers and clients to establish project requirements and goals and deliver on deadlines.
- Drive innovation by coming up with new and surprising ideas for our products and processes.
- Develop awesome new features front to back as part of a team.
- Point out issues with the existing architecture and code, and clean it up.
- Writing specification documents when required.
- Any others duties that are deemed necessary to support the business as and when required.
Requirements
- Passion for software development
- Excellent knowledge of J2EE and SQL
- Good knowledge of Spring, MVC, Hibernate, CSS and XHTML
- Great problem-solving skills
Highly Desirable
- Clear evidence of contributions to an open source project(s)
- Experience with agile software development methodologies like XP and Scrum
Experience
- Ideally 2 or more years in a professional Java development role
- Skilled graduates (2:1 or higher) are invited to apply as well (if you have had practical experience with Java and can show a working knowledge of it!)
